De Matthews
De and Bob have been married for over 54 years and have 3 grown children, 9 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren De is active in her community and within her optimist club. She earned the honor of "Volunteer of The Year" in her community and also was awarded the Distinguished President Award in 2018. At Club level De has held various positions throughout the years, such as President, Sec/Treas and Club Foundation Rep. as well as chair for numerous committees. Within the District, she has been Convention Chair three times , LG Zone 6, and for the past 10 years has taken care of the social media/webmaster duties within the District. De believes if you are not part of the solution , you are part of the problem and encourages all Optimists to get involved for the betterment of youth, themselves, their communities. |
