Edie Harris
Edie Harris is one of those people who not only reads the “Optimist Creed" but lives it. 

Optimism is what helps us deal with unexpected change, crushing stress and inevitable disappointments.  It’s what prompts us to learn from our mistakes rather than feel defeated by them. 

Edie feels and shows that optimism doesn’t just make us feel happier.  It also makes us more confident and helps us believe in ourselves.

In June 2002, Edie helped form the Optimist Club of Blackfalds and has been an active member ever since.  Randy, her partner  and many of her family are also members. 

Edie has played significant roles during her Optimist years.  Just look at her Optimist Accomplishments and you will see a woman who is dedicated to this association at Club, District, and international levels. 

She is positive in her thinking and orientates herself towards success and looking for any improvement in the current situation as a solution.  She is a successful, self aware and accountable individual who  "brings out the best in youth, herself and her community. 

Edie is fun loving, energetic and approachable and finds time for anyone,  so make it a habit to interact with her whenever you have the opportunity.

Edie has been involved in the Optimist Association for more than 20 years and raised her children to be the best they could be.  She is the proud mother of 2 children (twins) and with her partner Randy they have 10 amazing Grandchildren. 

As you might suspect Edie’s favorite past time is “hanging out with her grandchildren” and I have been told she does spoil them …………but isn’t that what Grandma’s are for?
