Vande Vezina
Vande is the youngest of nine children and was born in North Bay, Ontario. She graduated from the University of Windsor with Honors in Psychology. Vande has two grown children Dylan and Caitlin. Vande has been a member of the Safestart Optimist Club of Edmonton since March 15, 2017. She has been involved in numerous community events including the annual Bikeree sponsored by the Edmonton Dinner Optimist Club. Vande was elected President in 2021 and served in this position until being elected LG for the 2023 – 2024 Optimist year. She is passionate about serving youth and is excited to be working on a literacy project within Zone 5. This is a project that makes books more accessible to children in their communities. She has participated in fundraising events including 50/50 ticket sales, silent auctions and most recently, in June 2023, a joint event with the Caribbean OC of Edmonton to bring in new members and fundraise for the Literacy Project. |
