BRIAN WALLACEOptimist Brian Wallace is the 2024 -2025 AMSNW District Secretary Treasurer.
Brian first became an Optimist as a charter member of the St. Albert Optimist Club in 1981. He is currently a member of 3 clubs in the Edmonton area including: Edmonton Dinner, Safe Start and Leduc Black Gold. Known in the District as the Canadian Supply Chairman. In 2016 Brian was awarded the "Builder of Excellence" award by Optimist International for his work in forming the Safe Start Optimist Club. Other volunteer roles that Brian is involved in include: Scouts Canada where he has served over 30 years and is known by hundreds of youth as Akela. Brian currently is an council service scouter and coordinates major activities for Edmonton area cub scout groups. Brian and Samantha have been married for over 30 years and live in Edmonton. Samantha is also an optimist member and as a team this duo accomplish an incredible amount of community service. Brian is a Consulting Civil Engineering Technologist. Brian is an Optimist because he believes in bringing out the best in youth. We must increase Optimism to better serve our youth and willing to help others in achieving this goal. The JOI of Growth.
