BILL CAMPBELL

Bill has been active since joining the Optimist Club of Calgary in September 2018.  In 2019, he joined the club's Board of Directors, and from 2020 to 2024, he was Club President.  In 2022/23 he was the Lieutenant Governor of Zone 6, and in 2024 he was on the Optimist International Convention 100th Anniversary Centennial Celebration Committee.

In terms of his career, he was the HR Director for Canada Safeway's retail, warehousing, and manufacturing operations in Alberta from 2000 to 2013.  When Sobeys Inc. acquired Safeway in 2014 he became the HR Director of Shared Services for both Safeway and Sobeys in the province until retiring in 2018.

Bill and his wife Dianne have really enjoyed meeting and socializing with fellow Optimists across our District and internationally at meetings and conventions over the last few years and look forward to attending more Optimist events in the future.
