CANADIAN CHILDREN'S OPTIMIST FOUNDATION

LES TREVOR

Les's  Optimist journey began in March of 2005 when he joined the Optimist Club of Red Deer.

Along the way he has  had the privilege of serving as President 3 times, once as Distinguished in 2007-08.

In 2013-14 he held the position of Lieutenant Governor for Zone 3, and was District Membership Chair in 2017-18 and 2018-19. In 2019 – 20 Les served as Governor of AMS&NW from which he took  many lessons.

Personally, Les grew up in East Central Alberta in the Esther/Oyen community and was raised on the family farm.

Volunteering was a big thing in his home and it has carried on throughout the years for him  as he has  held many positions in a variety of organizations.

Les has lived his entire life in Alberta other than 4 years in the early 80’s right after he married Laurie, at that time they moved to the Middle East. Working in the oil patch and lived in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Abu Dhabi.

Les and his  beautiful wife Laurie  were married in October 1980 and moved to Red Deer in the fall of 1986 where they raised their 3 children Paul, Cory and Michelle.

Today Les and Laurie are blessed with 2 grandsons, Liam and Jackson, 5 ½ year old twins.

Les is  happy to say, he looks forward to a bright and Optimistic future!
